Michele Myers is an established artist based in Palm Beach, Florida, USA. During her twenty-five year painting career, she has completed numerous, varied commissions specializing in portraiture with an emphasis on the sitter's personality & likeness. She has recently been profiled in an issue of Palm Beach Illustrated and will be featured in a special program for television's HGTV to be broadcast during the 1999-2000 broadcast season.

Michele, who has lived in Japan as well as Canada and the United States of America, is uniquely self-taught. First introduced to the techniques of oil painting as a child by the Sacred Heart Order of Nuns for the Catholic Church while in school, she paints to connect the world as she feels it with the world as she knows it to be. Michele recently told a magazine interviewer, "I look for a story, its rhythms. Then paint what I feel, not just what I see. It's a great discipline." Her work is representational as well as realistic. Tied to her French Ancestry, Michele's paintings are influenced by her childhood in the Far East and by all her travels.
